“I am a contemporary artist based in Sheffield exploring the possibilities of perfume and fragrance in a fine art context. My main body of work, entitled ‘Perfume as Practice’ sees me creating portraits of other artists. This is achieved through a process that begins by asking artists the question ‘why do you make art?’ Then, through a combination of investigation and intuition, I take the response received and combine meaningful fragrance oils with visual embellishments in order to achieve a perfume that captures the essence of each artist.
I also run perfume making workshops, which introduces participants to the possibilities of fragrance by giving them the opportunity to make a perfume of their own.
I have exhibited nationally and internationally, and facilitate creative opportunities in Sheffield and surrounding areas. I secured an M.A in Fine at from Glyndwr University in 2012.”
