THE PALS – Horsforth High School Play
Horsforth High School theatre group will be putting on a play for the community on the 13th and 14th of July.
The Pals tells the story of sixteen year old Horace Iles from Woodhouse who gave his life in our country’s service that beautiful but fateful morning of 1st July a century ago. Horace was the youngest of the volunteer Leeds Pals to die in a hail of machine gun fire on what still remains the British Army’s worst ever day for casualties with over 19200 dead.
Twelve year ten lads are working hard to produce a play which will honour the memory of Horace and indeed all soldiers who died that day.
Josh, Josh, Tom, Keir, Joe, Aaron, Ethan, Jabez, Oliver and Alex are all great lads, good at their sports and doing well in class!
They look forward to telling you all a very courageous story…
